All-through Locality Structures

The development of all-through locality structures is a growing phenomenon and has been spurred on by the White Paper leading to the Education Act 2011. Here the concept of school to school relationships and structures is an integral part of the vision for education.

The work of CATS Consultancy in devising structures that support all-through learning is highly regarded. All three Directors of CATS have contributed hugely to the work of the National College to provide advice and guidance to their Models and Partnership Programme. Therefore CATS Consultancy is able to confidently broadening its services to offer support in developing locality leadership models of all descriptions - and not necessarily all-through in their focus - including Academy Trusts/Groups/Chains, School Companies, Federations, Collaborations and all manner of inter-connecting structures that permit schools to work together with whom they wish. Essential to this work is the need to offer governor training and CATS Consultancy is planning a series of events across the country in the Autumn Term 2011.

Since many of these models require legal advice and support, CATS Consultancy is developing a close working relationship with Browne Jacobson, one of the leading Educational Law firms in the country. Through this relationship CATS Consultancy can offer a complete package of support that includes assistance in identifying the most appropriate model, brokering relationships, developing a common vision, working with staff and governors to gain their support, devising governance and operational mechanisms, production of all necessary legal and explanatory (for consultation purposes) documentation and any other related activities that result in the creation of the desired local leadership model.
